Party this Friday!

We're super excited for this Friday, December 9. One of our FAVE bands, Steel Phantoms, is playing with Slowdance at Union Pool. The show was supposed to happen last week, but because of some health department bureaucracy, U Pool got shut down. It sucked! But, the world has righted itself and now the show is back and better than ever. And here's why... Our FAVE DJs, J. Penry and Jay Green, will be DJing between bands and will continue the party after the show is over. The dudes will be playing super fun records for their (FREE) Cheap Shots dance party. Rooftop dinner with I8NY

My brother Jonathan Meyer and his buddy Will Griffin started a sandwich stand at the Williamsburg Smorgasburg called I8NY. Each week they offer 2 sandwich choices and inevitably they are both kick ass. This last weekend the Brooklyn Grange rooftop farm hosted them in serving a 4 course meal which was tasted great and was effortlessly executed.  Pair it with the romantic and magical setting and the sold out 40 person dinner had quite a night. This cooking duo is poised for great things with several weddings lined up and another dinner this Sunday. I8NY Hot Sauce Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Grilled cheese sandwich with prosciutto, pickled onions, and I8NY Habanero Hot Sauce.  It was so good.  Big ups to Jonny and Will at I8NY.  I8NY has a stand at Smorgasburg every Saturday on the Williamsburg waterfront between N. 6th and N. 7th Streets at the East River.   They sell super-tasty chicken sandwiches, vegetable-and-ricotta sandwiches, grilled corn on the cob with smoky peach butter along with various house-made sides and condiments like hot sauce and fresh ricotta cheese.  It tastes good and you can take stuff home to make the best grilled cheese ever.  The hot sauce is extremely hot but isn't crazy hot.  It is in the vein of Vietnamese rooster sauce, but hotter and not as sweet.  It is...
