Так уж вышло, вторая «Чудо-женщина» с обозначающим время действия подзаголовком «1984» стала первым большим голливудским блокбастером в мировом прокате за долгое время. И первым масштабным зрелищным фильмом в новом, 2021 году, в котором человечество надеется на изменения к лучшему и избавление от вялотекущего апокалипсиса. Спойлер: именно таким избавлением от конца света и рождественско-зимним уютом завершается «Чудо-женщина: 1984». Поэтому, нравится вам это или нет, более уместного фильма сегодня не найти.

Кстати, самой супергероини тут еще нет: Диана Принс ею пока не успела стать, она девочка, на равных состязающаяся со взрослыми женщинами. Идеальный зачин и уместный повод показать на экране двух любимых публикой амазонок, Конни Нильсен и Робин Райт. В последующем действии они участия принимать не будут. Нам просто напомнили о системе координат, вывели из спячки, запустили голливудской катапультой прямо из зрительного зала в свободный полет — чтобы вспомнили, чем фильм в кинотеатре отличается от домашнего просмотра. Горе тем, кто будет смотреть «Чудо-женщину: 1984» только онлайн (а их в мире, кажется, большинство).
Первая часть запомнилась миру как революционный блокбастер, впервые сделанный женщиной — бывшей звездой фестивальной режиссуры Пэтти Дженкинс. Однако не слишком-то ждите манифест женской субъектности с лесбийским акцентом, пусть пролог на это и намекает. Недаром основным местом действия выбран Вашингтон, куда устроилась работать после гибели возлюбленного Диана Принс: теперь она научный сотрудник Смитсоновского института, а в свободное время подрабатывает супергероиней в легкомысленном разноцветном наряде и с волшебным светящимся лассо. Однажды она вместе с новой коллегой, смешной и милой Барбарой Минервой, находит древний магический камень, способный осуществить любое желание. Только одно и не даром, а в обмен на что-то крайне ценное, чем тебе придется пожертвовать.
Кинокомиксы DC, в отличие от продукции более удачливых конкурентов из Marvel, пытаются усидеть сразу на нескольких стульях и решить несколько задач, иногда взаимоисключающих. Так и здесь бесстыжая эпичность в духе режиссера Зака Снайдера (он в числе продюсеров) неуклюже совмещена с попытками постмодернистского юмора и легкомысленных стилизаций под золотые 1980-е. Забавная аттракционная сцена поимки грабителей в торговом центре, конечно, напомнит об «Очень странных делах», но вскоре съемочная группа позабудет о гиковских радостях, перейдя к привычным мифопоэтическим архетипам и соответствующему пафосу.

Прямолинейную и вполне ослепительную красоту израильтянки Галь Гадот успешно сопровождают комические таланты и пластичность Кристен Уиг — в каком-то смысле перед нами фильм о дружбе (сперва) и противостоянии (уже потом) брюнетки и блондинки. Из Педро Паскаля, в котором при всем желании никак не узнать брутального Оберина Мартелла или Мандалорца, вышел самый жалкий и трогательный суперзлодей за всю историю комиксов — лузер, специализирующийся на финансовых пирамидах, пытается посредством мошенничества осчастливить себя и весь мир с предсказуемо чудовищными последствиями. Его герой Максвелл Лорд похож одновременно на Майкла Дугласа, Джеймса Белуши и Дональда Трампа в молодости. Лишним колесом в телеге выглядит лишь слащавый герой Криса Пайна, который вообще-то давно умер, но по многочисленным просьбам зрительниц был вытащен с того света. Простим и авторам, и аудитории эту слабость.
Своевременность второй «Чудо-женщины» подтверждается годом действия: он вынесен в название не без умысла. Перед нами именно антиутопия, в которой нашлось место и Большому Брату, который следит за нами с телеэкранов. В столицу США действие перенесено тоже не случайно: занесет амазонку и в Овальный кабинет. В итоге лишь женская самоотверженность, бескомпромиссность и честность будут способны бросить вызов мужской мегаломании, закомплексованности и паранойе.

Принципиальная внесистемность Чудо-женщины вообще делает ее чуть ли не самым симпатичным персонажем вселенной DC. Она не рвется к власти и не выпячивает свое бессмертие и всемогущество, в отличие от Бэтмена и Супермена. Она компенсирует подвигами не комплексы и ущербность, а исключительно простое человеческое одиночество. Наконец, она равно хороша в деловом костюме, вечернем платье, летном комбинезоне и супергеройской спецодежде, в макияже и без. А такой суперспособностью может похвалиться мало кто из ее напыщенных соратников по Лиге Справедливости.
