Fashion Week is upon us (!) and to kick things off, retailers around the world are throwing the biggest shopping night of the year with special events, celebrities and discounts. Its purpose is designed to revitalize the fashion industry, especially independent retailers. Over 1,000 retailers in the NYC area are participating and while Barneys, Bloomingdales and Macy's will attract fashion enthusiasts with the biggest brands and budgets; the goal is to also support the global economy and sustain independent fashion.
