ROUND

This weekend in SF ROUND is showcasing her brand-new 2010 line at Ver Unica in Hayes Valley. ROUND’s designer Lila is a dreamy lady who makes the dreamiest jewelry. I’ve been collecting it for years now and according to her I quite possibly have the largest single collection of her work, can you guys tell yet how obsessed I am with jewelry?! Anyhoo, each piece of Lila’s jewelry is hand-made and her work is timeless. I still wear pieces from 4 to 6 years ago. Beyond trends, ROUND is about good craftsmanship and excellent design. If you’re in the Bay, go check her out, cause did I mention she’s a total BABE!!! xx May 1st 11 to 5pm Ver Unica...

East VS West Sales

Folks! This weekend marks some of my favorite folks having sales/ popshops. Tomorrow, here in the east, Chris Habana, who I am obsessed with, is having a huge sample sale in an empty Manhattan apartment. Chris’s work is simple, dark and terribly hot. Since I have started collecting his work barely a day goes by without me wearing it. Not to mention he is a doll and totally great to hang and work with. Friday April 30th 4 to 10pm 60 W 8th Street, Apt 5A NY, NY Then over on the west coast OAK’s A.OK store concept is doing a popshop with The Seventh Heart. This will be the first time the Brooklyn based company is popping up in...

Nailing It

Image from The Frisky On the hunt for some next level ish in the nail world (and to quell my desire to visit Tokyo), I ventured to Hello Beautiful in the burg for my first Calgel application. Calgel has been popular in Tokyo for quite awhile and has recently become popular in the States. Unlike an acrylic application, Calgel is non-plastic and enriched with vitamins and keratin. The thin layers protects your nails and it lasts for up to 4-5 weeks. Plus, the nail design is so epic — it takes nail art to a whole ’nother level. Nail artist Naomi, from Hello Beautiful, transformed my hard working hands into a work of art. Naomi has a very impressive client...

Goldie's

If you don’t already know the lovely Sarah T and her hand-crafted soaps, you should. Sarah blends the most surprising and subtle herbs together to make soaps, lotions and scrubs so yummy smelling you might want to eat them (I tried once). Sarah makes everything by hand in her home in Bed-sty and a lot of her herbs she grows herself as well. The difference between using a product made with love and using one mass produced is a big one and with these soaps you get the love all over your body! Check her site here and look out for her at local markets.
