My showroom International Playground is having their one year anniversary party tonight. The are awesome and such a pleasure to work with and I really cant believe they are only 1 year in because they have accomplished SO much. The party should be fun with an open bar from 10 to 11. Last night we went to Rob "Bronco" Bryn's birthday party. You might know Rob from around the way if you've been around North Brooklyn, he is the lead singer in Wild Yaks and wrote and directed a couple of plays. He turned the ripe old age of 34 yesterday, and we went to Best Pizza to celebrate. When I first moved to NYC I crashed at Rob's house, smoking Tops roll-ups in a room with seven dead christmas trees February 3rd 2006. This weekend marked the beginning of the growing season at our apartment in Bushwick. I live on the fourth floor, so I grow in window boxes. There are more creative ways to do it, but this is the easiest to manage. I like to grow herbs for infusion into syrups for drinks or dessert, and this year we grew some lettuce, since lettuce is very easy to grow and always handy to use - eat your vegetables. The guy who lives in the apartment across the yard spent last week making the awesome wildstyle graffiti mural. The spray cans clattered when he shook them.
